Privacy Notice

What personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Who is responsible for your data

Mason Youell, trading as Cancelled Clothing, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@cancelledclothing.shop or by writing to 107-109 Far Bank, Shelley, HD8 8HT.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect only what we need to fulfil and support it:

  • Your name;
  • Your email address;
  • Your delivery address (and billing address if different);
  • The details of what you ordered.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payment is processed by Stripe, which handles your card data directly under its own terms. We receive only a confirmation of payment and a reference, never the full card number.

Why we use it

  • To fulfil your order — processing payment, dispatching goods, and handling returns or refunds. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To provide support — answering your questions and resolving problems with an order.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations — for example keeping records required by tax and consumer law.

How long we keep it

We keep order and customer data for as long as needed to fulfil the order and then for the period we are required to retain financial records under UK law. After that we delete or anonymise it. We do not keep your data longer than necessary.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers we need to run the shop — for example our payment provider (Stripe) and our delivery carrier — and only the data they need to do their job. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to erase your data where there is no ongoing legal reason to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict or object to certain uses of your data;
  • ask to receive your data in a portable format;
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children and we do not profile or target minors.
